2. Matt Ryan (Upperchurch/Drombane) Part of a back line that conceded just 0-10 against Brackens, Ryan was once again a big part of that effort, keeping every attacker honest who came across his path, while he was a constant in possession for most of the game. A consistent performer.

3. Seamus Kennedy (Clonmel Commercials) It was far from a taxing day for the Clonmel men as they breezed past Arravale Rovers, but Seamus Kennedy still stuck out at full back and is a vision of consistency and presence. Only conceding 1-2 in a knockout championship match is some going.

4. Daire Brennan (Kilsheelan Kilcash) Bitter defeat for Kilsheelan yet again to Loughmore Castleiney, but Daire Brennan had a terrific game for the men in blue and gold. He was immense throughout and can count himself unlucky to come out on the losing side.

5. John Ryan (Loughmore Castleiney) Continues to be a consistent performer in both codes. His defensive acumen is well known, but Ryan has added a real scoring threat to his game this year, and bagged a very important goal in his sides narrow win over Kilsheelan.

6. Kevin Fahey (Clonmel Commercials) Once again, Commercials had an easy day out as they completely outclassed Arravale Rovers, with Fahey having a very good display. He is the archetypal modern half back, and was up and down the field all day, bagging 0-2 in the process.
