Tragedy: Tipperary resident dies following holiday accident in Lapland

The death has occurred of Eimantas Kosovas of Millers Brook, Nenagh, and Nenagh Manor Nursing Home following a tragic accident while on holidays in Lapland on January 14.

Eimantas who was known as "Monty" to his many friends was much loved and will be sadly missed by his loving parents Vilma and Kestutis, brother Aivaras, girlfriend Alana, grandparents, Maryte, Nina, Konstantinos, many friends, relatives, uncles and aunts.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to bring him home, and already €15,621 has been donated to the appeal.

According to a post on the GoFundMe page, Eimantas was involved in a tragic accident while on holidays in Lapland with his girlfriend and two of his close friends.

They are appealing to people to donate to help bring him home to his family and friends.

"We are all heartbroken as he was loved by everyone and was known for being a gentle soul and always smiling . . .  any donations will help bring him home to us. Thank you," says the post.
