Annual Naas Zumbathon to fundraise for Kildare Wildlife Rescue

The second Annual Naas Zumbathon, hosted by Zumba Naas, is set to take place on Saturday February 25 from 2-4pm at Monread Community Centre in Naas, and promises to be a fun-filled afternoon of music, dancing, and fitness.

The event will feature two hours of energetic Zumba routines, led by an amazing line-up of Zumba instructors from Kill, Newbridge, Leixlip, Lucan and Naas. Zumbathon is open to people of all ages and fitness levels, and participants are encouraged to bring their friends and family along to have a good time for a great cause. Naas Radio Online will be live from the event on the day.

KWR Volunteer Coordinator and owner of Zumba Naas Niamh Redmond said, "We are delighted to support Kildare Wildlife Rescue and the great work that they do. We believe that fitness and fun can make a positive impact on the world, and this event is a perfect way to combine both."

All proceeds from the event will go towards the care and rehabilitation of wild animals at Kildare Wildlife Rescue Centre in Kildare Town. The centre provides a vital service in the local community, taking in and caring for a wide variety of orphaned and injured wild animals, and giving them the best chance of survival and eventual release back into the wild.

Dan Donoher, Kildare Wildlife Rescue Manager said, "We're grateful for the support of Zumba Naas and the community in raising funds to help us care for all the wildlife that come through our doors. We rely on the generosity of people like you to help us make a difference in the lives of these animals."
