Criminal damage incidents in Athy may be linked, Kildare garda says

Both incidents occurred within a short time of each other
Two criminal damage incidents which occurred in Athy may be linked.
That's according to Garda Orlaith Fahy, who made the comments during a recent guest appearance on KFM.
She was asked by host Hannah Kelly about the two incidents, and whether or not they may be linked.
Gda Fahy replied by explaining that gardaí are exploring the possibility that the two crimes may be linked, as they both occurred 'in estates within close proximity [of one another] and within the same timeframe'.
Fortunately, nothing of value was taken from either of the two vehicles, according to Gda Fahy.
She concluded by urging anyone with information and / or video footage relating to either or both incidents to contact Athy Garda Station on 059 863 4210.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the first crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí were alerted to an alleged incident of criminal damage caused to a vehicle outside a residential property in the Coneyboro area of Athy, County Kildare that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, April 18 last.
"[The] investigation is ongoing."
When asked by the Leader about the second crime, the same spokesperson responded: "Gardaí were alerted to an alleged incident of criminal damage caused to a vehicle outside a residential property in the Ardrew Meadows Area of Athy, County Kildare that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, April 18 last."
Once again, the spokesperson added: "[The] investigation is ongoing."
