€178k stables proposed for this Kildare town

Proposal is for address at Longtown North, Prosperous, Co Kildare

A planning application has been submitted to Kildare County Council for the construction of a €178k stables at Longtown North, Prosperous, Co Kildare.

According to Construction Information Services (CIS), planning application number 2560902 has been submitted for consideration on August 7 2025.

The architect for the project is Nugent Planning & Design.

The scheme consists of:

Construction of six horse stables for the rearing and training of horses with a tackroom, rug room, and dry feed store;
Hay storage shed with covered dungstead and effluent holding tank;
The construction of two storey type farm house with single storey element to side (south west) elevation;
The installation of an Oakstown BAF wastewater treatment plant with polishing filter percolation area;
Garage / store for domestic use; and
Upgrading of the existing field entrance to form a recessed vehicular entrance and all associated site works.
