Maayuk Ojong, 20, and whose address was given as 3 Liffey View, Castelfen, Sallins, is being prosecuted for an alleged breach of the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act.
Sgt Mary Meade said it will be alleged it happened on February 13, 2022, when the injured party got a text and a call purporting to be from AIB staff. The injured party gave account details and “€30,000 was taken from the account.”
It will also be alleged that €5,000 was transferred to another bank account owned by the defendant.
The case was sent forward for trial at Naas Circuit Court by Judge Desmond Zaidan, who told the defendant that if an alibi forms any part of her defence the prosecution authorities must be informed of this in advance.
