Formula One comes to Kildare Village with the Mondello Park experience
The Mondello Park Experience at Kildare Village was officially launched this week by Rosemary Smith, renowned international rally and racing driver, Alex Dunne, who was announced today as International Driver of the Year and recipient of the Manley Memorial Trophy, and Nicci Daly, Ireland international hockey player and motorsport enthusiast.
Two of Kildare's iconic brands are teaming up to present The Mondello Park Experience at Kildare Village. From Saturday, December 3 until Sunday, January 8, motorsport enthusiasts can witness first-hand legendary Formula 1 cars in real life, up close and personal, as well as having the chance to drive the famous Mondello Park track virtually in a top of the range simulators used by Formula1 drivers! This new experience, highlights the heritage of motorsport and the Irish connections to Formula 1.
Speaking about the launch, Roddy Greene, Managing Director at Mondello Park, said, “We are delighted to be part of Kildare Village for the Christmas period. Mondello Park is Ireland’s only international motorsport venue and Kildare Village is the perfect place to bring our experience to the public. The Mondello Park Experience at Kildare Village will take customers on a journey through the past, present, and future of motorsport and will also showcase Ireland’s most successful period in Formula One, Jordan Grand Prix.
