On June 1, concert is taking place in St Bridget’s Church on the Curragh in recognition of all Naas Hospital and HSE staff that have had breast cancer or are currently having treatment.

The main performers will be the Naas General Hospital Choir set last October as part of staff wellbeing.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner Lorna Keating said the choir has been a huge success to date.

The proceeds of the night will go towards the Oncology Unit in Naas for a Vein Tracker, which will allow for easy access to patients veins.

Acute palliative care also requires a “Tablet Library” for oncology patients to contact the acute oncology nurse for virtual consultations.

Lorna added: "We would also like to support the Solas rooms in Naas for the care of the dying.

"Finally with all the support that Cuisle Cancer Support centre in Sallins have given to all the staff we would also like to support them."placeholder image
