Gardaí seize lorry with defective brakes in Kildare

Gardaí in County Kildare have seized a lorry with defective brakes.

The official Garda Traffic account on Twitter outlined what happened: "The Naas Roads Policing Unit were on patrol when they saw the driver and passenger of this lorry not wearing their seatbelts.

"They were stopped and it was found that the lorry had defective breaks (sic), as well as no insurance or tax."

The account added: "The lorry was seized; court to follow."
