Horses seized in Kildare investigation into sulky racing on Blueway

Kildare gardaí have seized six horses after an investigation was carried out into claims that sulkies were being driven on the Blueway in recent weeks. 

In a statement issues on Facebook, it said; "Following reports of horses and sulkies being driven on the Blueway in recent weeks, a joint investigation and operation was carried out by Athy Gardaí and Kildare County Council. The operation identified a location where horses were being kept in contravention of local bye-laws.
