A judge told a man to learn to control his temper after he appeared before him with an injured arm.
The man’s arm had significant strapping on his arm, which was also in a sling.
Questioned by Judge Desmond Zaidan, the man said his put his arm through a window during the course of a dispute with a relative.
He said he sustained a torn tendon which needs to be treated via plastic surgery.
The man told the court he had a court order against him.
He also claimed he had been hit on the head with a golf club.
He said he was locked out of the house and “I got into a rage.”
Judge Zaidan reminded the man he is over 18 and if he does not get on with people living there he should find his own place.
There was an allegation that he assaulted a relative but that the relative did not wish to proceed with a case against him.
“You have to learn to control your temper," said Judge Zaidan, adjourning the case to June 26 for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
He also reminded him that there is a protection order in place and “you have to respect that.”
He also told the man he could have been more seriously injured.
