KILDARE ANIMALS IN NEED COLUMN: Three legged Minnie is a big hit

KWWSPCA

This lovely kitten Minnie had an unfortunate accident earlier this year when along with another kitten she climbed into a car engine for some warmth.

The car took off and she received a serious leg injury which resulted in the limb being amputated.

Thankfully she made a great recovery and is very capable of getting around, leading a normal life while living with one of our cat volunteers.

She was a star attraction when she attended an event in the Newbridge Scout Hall last week.

The KWWSPCA were invited to give a talk to the Beaver Scout group in their Scout Hall. The welcoming and energetic children made Minnie and rescue dog Hope feel very special. Thanks to scout leader Paul for arranging the visit.

Bobby

Bobby is one of five pups who were found dumped in a box beside their mother. They have been in our care since they were rescued, and their mother Paige has done a brilliant job in looking after them. In spite of their tough start in life each pup has grown to a healthy size.

They have all been adopted and Bobby went to his new home this week for a long and happy life.

His mother has been adopted and has gone to a loving home. Hopscotch, the rabbit that we featured in last week’s article has also found a new home with a big garden and lots of grass.
