Kildare Credit Union allocates €5,000 for projects and events associated with St Brigid

Kildare Credit Union, which has offices in Kildare town, Kilcullen and Narraghmore, is inviting applications for its Community Outreach Programme for 2024.
The Programme was first introduced in 2016 and almost €160,000 has been distributed between local voluntary organisations over the last 8 years for many diverse projects.
Kildare Credit Union manager Michelle Kemmy said:
The Brigid 1500 festival which promises a unique blend of tradition and innovation is set to take place in Kildare in 2024.
The festival aims to bring the community together to commemorate the life and teachings of St. Brigid.
In the spirit of honouring St. Brigid’s legacy and supporting its aim of bringing the community together, the Board of Directors of Kildare Credit Union have allocated an additional €5,000 to the community outreach programme for 2024 for projects and events associated with St. Brigid.
Projects that focus on climate change and how we can reduce the carbon footprint in our community will be given priority when considering how to distribute the remaining €20,000 fund.
Kildare Credit Union look forward to hearing about the wonderful, imaginative community projects being organised. The work of the voluntary organisations in our community is so important and we are delighted to help.
The application form is available in the three offices and on the website.
