Kildare driver who broke red light failed roadside breath test

Kildare gardai stopped the motorist in Newbridge recently
A driver showed complete disregard for road safety in Newbridge recently when they drove through a red light.
The driver was stopped by Kildare gardai, and failed a roadside breath test.
They were arrested on suspicion of drink driving and later found to be over the legal limit.
The driver had no driving licence. The vehicle was promptly seized.
A garda spokesperson said of the incident: “What exactly has to happen before people get the message? Drink driving puts innocent lives at risk. Running red lights puts lives at risk. Driving without a licence is illegal.
“There is no excuse. There is no justification. And there is no sympathy for decisions that put other road users in danger. The consequences are real. The risks are deadly. Make better choices.”
