Animals in need

Many thanks to the team at Enterprise Rent A Car, Naas who donated one hundred Easter Eggs for our annual Easter Egg Hunt taking place on Good Friday, March 29, between 2pm and 4pm.

This was a great afternoon for children to run free in the fresh air at Punchestown Racecourse.

Each child was given a map so they can search for the coloured ribbons. Once they have completed the hunt, they can claim their free Easter Egg. We also had some really large and beautiful Easter Eggs in our raffle too.

As well as the Easter Egg Hunt, there was an organised walk so you could bring your dog on the pathway around the race course. The Dog Walk started at 3pm.

Parking and admission was free, but donations are most welcome.

For the third year in a row our three-legged mascot dog Patrick led our float at the Parade in Newbridge. He enjoyed the warm reaction of the crowd and he was joined by some of our other rescue dogs, who were happy to be out celebrating St Patrick. Our volunteer Ethan who was in his Rascal the Dog outfit was hugely popular with the children and had everyone dancing.
