KILDARE: First foals of the year born at Irish National Stud

Pictured at the Irish National Stud is one of their first foals of the year - Angus with his mother Across The Sea and marketing manager Sinead Hyland.

The public will be able to see Angus from this Monday (January 29)when the Irish National Stud reopens to the public.

The Irish National Stud & Gardens celebrated its best ever visitor attendance of just over 150,000 last year - an 8% increase from 2022 and a remarkable 12% surge compared to pre-pandemic 2019 figures.

A record number of 321 foals were born at the Kildare attraction last year which makes the stud largest equine maternity ward in Europe.
