Kildare gardai hold high-visibility patrols at train stations

The operation involved patrols covering the Portarlington to Heuston rail line
South Kildare Community Policing Units recently took part in Operation Twin Tracks, conducting high-visibility patrols at train stations along the Portarlington to Heuston rail line.
The operation focused on enhancing public safety, preventing crime and providing reassurance to commuters using the rail network.
Throughout the operation, Gardaí engaged with commuters, railway staff and members of the public, offering practical crime prevention advice on personal safety, property security and fraud awareness.
These interactions also provided an opportunity to discuss local concerns and strengthen relationships between An Garda Síochána and the communities it serves.
A garda spokesperson said of the operation: “Operation Twin Tracks highlights the ongoing commitment of An Garda Síochána to maintaining a visible presence on public transport routes, promoting safety and security, and supporting those who travel through our communities every day.”
