Planning permission has been granted to convert meeting rooms into an oratory or small chapel.

A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council by The Parish of St Patrick and St. Brigid in Celbridge.

The location of the oratory is the Holy Faith Convent on the Main Street of the town.

Rear outbuildings are currently being used as parish meeting rooms.

Being proposed was the conversion of these rooms to an oratory, including the construction of a pitch roof over the existing stone walls.

The walls will be insulated and plastered internally and there will be single storey extensions to the east and west, according to planning documents.
