Kildare Irish Figure Dancers a huge hit at Mullingar Fleadh

The Kildare Irish Figure Dancers hit the Fleadh for the first time ever in their history and after such a successful day trip it definitely will not be their last.

"The dancers are already talking about Wexford next year. Mullingar was fantastic. Our dancers danced on the Gig Rig stage at 1pm on Wednesday, August 9 and then spent the rest of the day dancing to the musicians on the street," said Caroline Morrissey.

Caroline says, "Now all our attention is on preparing for our trip to Disney land Paris where we will be performing on Saturday, August 19 (tomorrow) at 12 noon in the park. Our dancers are super super excited as we have quite a few who are travelling out of the country or on a plane for the first time ever.

"I feel so privileged to be able to provide this opportunity for these young people. They are a fantastic group of kids and bring so much to Irish Figure Dancing in Kildare, keeping it alive and spreading their love and passion for it. We look forward to do our individual classes, our county and our country proud over in France."
