Johnny Howard’s Nurney (Kildare) Oldbog Cottage goes to London for the third time for St Patrick’s Day 2024.

An Oldbog Cottage replete with all the paraphernalia and accoutrements for a Day on the Bog heads for Trafalgar Square, London on Wednesday 13th March from the iconic Martin’s Bar, Kildoon, Nurney at 5pm.

The Mayor of Kildare Paddy Curran will attend and a Piper will lead the Oldbog Cottage and retinue out of Kildoon, Nurney.

No other structure is allowed in Trafalgar Square on St Patrick’s Day only Johnny Howard’s Oldbog Cottage which is a singular honour and great recognition for all his work in undertaking such an endeavour.

In 2022 and 2023 Johnny and his band of supporters welcomed thousands into his Oldbog Cottage in Trafalgar Square with cups of tea, sandwiches, and if they were in time, bacon, cabbage and potatoes cooked in the Oldbog Cottage.

In 2022 Taoiseach, Micheál Martin and Irish Ambassador to UK, Adrian O’Neill had tea with Johnny and his gallant crew in the Oldbog Cottage in Trafalgar Square.
