KILDARE: Name of road is causing confusion for emergency services personnel

A Naas road needs to be renamed to avoid confusion for emergency services personnel.
Cllr Seamie Moore wants Kildare County Council to rename Rathasker Road.
He said the route should be divided into “Upper Rathasker Road” and “Lower Rathasker Road.”
He also wants different postcodes to be assigned to each “to avoid mis-referencing and misdirection of (the fire brigade, ambulances, gardaí or other emergency services responses now.”
He said this is necessary because the road is intersected by the southern ring road “and does not have an end to end route linkage.”
