A planning application has been submitted to Kildare County Council for the change of use of the Holy Faith Convent in Celbridge into a parish centre and parochial house.

The application is made by The Parish of St. Patrick and St. Brigid.

The plans include the installation of new fire doors at ground and first-floor level, new toilets, four en-suite bathrooms.

An internal staircase and elevator are also in the plans.

Rear outbuildings will be converted to proposed parish meeting rooms, including the construction of a glazed structure over the existing stone walls.

A parish car park is also in the plans.
