KILDARE: Plan to turn local creche into apartments

Plans have been lodged to convert an existing creche into apartments.

The proposals are for two properties in Hollands Park in Athy.

Being planned is the change of use of the existing ground floor space from creche to residential.

Also proposed is the construction of an extension to the rear of the property to provide an additional 56 square metres of habitable space.

The planning documents also refer to dividing the entire ground floor to form three two-bedroom apartments.

Also proposed is the subdivision of the rear garden to provide private open space for each ground floor apartment.

Five new off-street car park spaces will be created to supplement the existing five on-street car parking spaces previously provided for the creche and first floor apartments.

Balconies are planned at the first floor level to the rear of property to serve as private open space for existing first floor apartments.
