Kildare Public Participation Network Prepares for the Upcoming Local Elections with Non-Political  Stance and Community Empowerment Initiatives

As the local and European elections loom on the horizon this June, Kildare Public Participation  Network (Kildare PPN) remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining a non-political stance  while empowering its members to make informed decisions aligned with their community values and  aspirations.

Throughout 2023, Kildare PPN spearheaded a comprehensive consultation initiative aimed at crafting  a robust Wellbeing Statement tailored to the unique needs of the county. These consultations, which  spanned all Municipal districts, witnessed robust participation from both members and stakeholders,  generating invaluable insights that have since shaped various strategic initiatives, notably including the draft Local Economic and Community Plan.

Leveraging the wealth of information garnered from these consultations, Kildare PPN has diligently  curated a set of potential questions designed to serve as a resource for its members as they engage  with candidates during the forthcoming canvassing period. By equipping members with relevant  inquiries rooted in the collective aspirations of their communities, Kildare PPN endeavours to  facilitate constructive dialogue and contribute meaningfully to the electoral process. This resource  “Navigating Canvassing” will be made available to all members and can be found on the Kildare PPN  website from Monday, April 22.

Expressing gratitude for the unwavering dedication and commitment of its members, Kildare PPN  extends heartfelt appreciation for their shared mission of fostering thriving and resilient  communities.
