Kildare reached this stage after they came out as 1-20 to 2-15 victors against Meath in a cracking semi-final in Cedral St Conleth's Park. Jimmy Lynch was the man of the hour that day, hitting 1-8 of his side's total. Colm Moran was crucial down the home stretch but Ronan Kelly had a quieter than usual game in terms of scoring. No doubt the young Athy forward will be itching to leave an impression on this exciting side's forthcoming Leinster final.
