Kildare County Council is to carry out remedial work, if needed on the Lullymore road between Allenwood and Rathangan.

It follows a request from Cllr Daragh Fitzpatrick who said the work is necessary because of flooding on the road near the heritage centre there.

“It’s flooded there nearly all the time,” Cllr Fitzpatrick told a Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting.

According to KCC an engineer will assess the area and any required works “will be arranged.”
