LATEST: Green light for café and apartments in well-known Kildare shop building
Planning permission has been granted
A café / shop and seven apartments have been approved by Kildare Co Council.
A planning application for the development in Athy was submitted to Kildare County Council.
Approval has been granted for the demolition of the existing two-storey retail premises at 58 Leinster Street.
Permission was sought at the site (Tim Flood Flooring and Furniture) for the construction of:
- a three-storey building containing,
- a retail/cafe unit,
- a one-bedroom duplex unit,
- one studio apartment,
- two one-bedroom apartments,
- two three-bedroom duplex apartments (all with balconies),
- one three-bedroom apartment with a roof terrace.
Also in the designs is secure bike storage and a communal bin area.
