A car lost control and struck the central median beside the eastbound lanes after 9am this morning. placeholder image

Gardai responded to the scene and directed traffic past the obstruction. 

A tow truck also arrived to remove the vehicle from the scene. 

 Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) reported the collision on its website and later said a temporary full closure of the section of motorway was being implemented to allow for recovery of the vehicle.
