BOOK OF EVIDENCE SERVED

A Naas District Court case that previously appeared before the court has been sent forward for trial.

The case was heard during an in-camera (in private) court session which took place on Thursday, September 21 last.

The juvenile was accompanied by his father and grandfather on the date in question.

It was alleged that the teenage boy was accused of four counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault against another boy in Kildare over a number of dates.

Gardaí added that the accused was also a child at the time of the alleged offences.

After a book of evidence was served on the defendant by gardaí, Judge Desmond Zaidan sent the boy forward for trial to the next sittings of the Central Criminal Court.
