Man 'spat in his wife's face'

A woman told Naas District Court that he spat in her face and he has hit her.
She sought court protection under family law legislation.
The court heard that they live together and he has a problem with drink.
She also said that her husband, who did not appear and was not represented at the brief hearing, shouts abuse at her and sometimes does this out the window.
She said she has called the gardaí and her neighbours have called the gardaí.
“He is getting worse,” she said, adding that she was married as a teenager.
Judge Desmond Zaidan granted the woman an interim protection order.
He said that if she has any concerns she should tell the gardaí that the order has been granted.
The judge adjourned the matter to September 23 for a fuller hearing.
