As part of a three year partnership to raise €350,000 for Ireland’s leading youth mental health charity

As part of Marks & Spencer’s (M&S) three year partnership with Jigsaw, Ireland’s leading youth mental health charity, M&S colleagues completed the challenging four peaks, Slieve Donard, Lugnaquilla, Carrauntoohil and Mweelrea in 48 hours.

M&S has committed to raising €350,000 for Jigsaw over the next three years. This funding will be generated through a variety of initiatives, including colleague and customer donations, as well as dedicated fundraising campaigns.

Kicking off the partnership earlier this summer, M&S colleagues hosted a 26-mile marathon walk, starting from M&S Liffey Valley and with the finish line at M&S Grafton Street, with stores across the country hosting fundraising activities on the day.

The most recent challenge saw M&S colleagues take on the four peaks challenge in 48 hours with ambitious climber take on Slieve Donard, Lugnaquilla, Carrauntoohil and Mweelrea.

"At M&S, we’re dedicated to making a positive impact in our communities and the importance of supporting young people. Jigsaw's vital work resonates deeply with our team and our customers, ensuring every young person in Ireland has access to mental health services and supports, shares Eddie Murphy, Country Director for Marks & Spencer Ireland and Northern Ireland. We challenged ourselves to climb the four peaks within 48 hours as part of our commitment to raise €350,000 for Jigsaw across three years. It’s been fantastic seeing our incredible colleagues, working together to raise awareness and funds for such an important charity".

“The impact of this partnership with M&S is incredible for Jigsaw said Dr. Joseph Duffy, CEO at Jigsaw. It's a testament to our shared vision of a future where mental health is prioritized. Together, we can amplify our reach, ensuring that vital mental health support is accessible to every young person who needs it. The generosity of M&S will have a profound impact on Jigsaw's ability to provide essential mental health services”.

This partnership aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people across Ireland by raising vital funds and awareness for mental health support whilst supporting Jigsaw's ambitious goal of reaching 1.5 million young people and their families with vital mental health support and services.

This initiative aligns with M&S UK partnership with YoungMinds - a mental health charity for children, young people and their parents - reflecting a shared commitment to youth mental health across both regions.
