Naas resident wins Toastmasters contest

Local resident, Phillip Khan-Panni, has won the third level contest in the Toastmasters International Public Speaking Contest.
He is now in the Anglo-Irish (District 71) semi-final which will take place on 26th May at the Annual Conference in Liverpool.
Khan-Panni is a former World Silver Medallist in public speaking, and four-times District 71 champion.
A Londoner, he came to live in Naas seven years ago, with his Irish wife, Evelyn, whose maternal family hails from The Knocks, beside the Canal.
He joined Naas Toastmasters less than one year ago. The club is part of Toastmasters International, a self-help organisation dedicated to improving personal communication skills.
It meets at the Town House Hotel on the second and third Wednesdays of every month and welcomes guests without charge.
