Naas Tidy Town's stalwart Josie Kelly saluted by Ireland Am's Deric Ó h'Artagáin when he visited the town

It’s 11 years since Josie Kelly first got involved in Naas Tidy Towns and since then she hasn’t stopped.

A familiar face around the town, she is always on the go, keeping the place looking it’s best along with the team of volunteers. When Ireland AM visited Naas yesterday morning, roving reporter and weather man, Deric Ó h'Artagáin had a chat with Josie and praised her for her work.

Check out the video below.

Deric also met up with some students from Naas CBS and St Mary’s Secondary School.

In the recent National Tidy Town’s Competition, Kill claimed first place in Kildare with 410 marks, earning a gold medal. Naas finished second with 409 marks, also receiving a gold medal, while Straffan took third place with 408 marks and a gold medal. Broadford achieved 404 marks and a gold medal, while Rathangan scored 404 and Kilcullen received 400 marks, with both also awarded gold medals.

Josie is one the key members of Naas Tidy Towns and is often singled out for special mention. Naas Ball also gave her a special call out recently.
