New role for former bank building is progressing, Kildare County Council says

The building is located in Monasterevin
A councillor asked Kildare County Council (KCC) if it could provide an update on the development of plans for the repurposing of the Monasterevin Bank of Ireland branch.
Fine Gael Cllr Kevin Duffy brought the question to KCC at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting, which was held on Wednesday, September 18 last.
KCC responded: "Fashion, Textiles and Design Hub — Capital funding for the proposed development of the former Bank of Ireland building has been secured.
"Architectural consultancy led services have been procured.
"Initial design and the preparation of Part 8 statutory process documents have commenced."
