The new purpose-designed practice in Celbridge will be run by Linnaeus-owned MyVet, which already has two popular practices in Dublin and another in Maynooth

A new state-of-the-art veterinary clinic is set to open in Kildare next month (October) promising a range of quality care for pets across the area.

The new purpose-designed practice in Celbridge will be run by Linnaeus-owned MyVet, which already has two popular practices in Dublin and another in Maynooth. The successful MyVet group was founded by brother and sister Liam and Nuala Moriarty, who are both experienced vets, with clinical director Nuala responsible for delivering this new practice.

She said: “The new clinic in Celbridge has been a particularly special project for me because our family is from the town.

“That’s made it especially exciting to plan the new practice and work on it all the way through to see it finally come to fruition. As always, our aim will be to treat each pet with individual care and attention and, most importantly, as a member of the family too.”

Liam, who is also managing director of Linnaeus in Ireland, said the new Celbridge practice is fully equipped to deal with complicated surgical and medical cases, as well as providing day-to-day treatments and preventative care.

He said: “The new Celbridge clinic will be staffed by an experienced veterinary team full of expertise and local knowledge to ensure we provide the best possible care and treatment from day one, all within purpose-built facilities.”

MyVet has invested around €1m euros in the new clinic, which has two operating theatres, an imaging suite with digital X-ray and ultrasound, a dental suite with digital X-ray and its own laboratory. There are four consultation rooms, a spacious reception area with separate dog and cat waiting spaces and

temperature-controlled dog and cat wards.

Taking the lead vet role at Celbridge will be Emer O’Reilly, who graduated from University College, Dublin, in 2007, and will transfer from the MyVet team in Lucan. Experienced vet Emma Bradley is also a key member of the new team, having made the switch from MyVet’s nearby Maynooth clinic along with registered vet nurse Jade Quinn. Lisa Bourke will be the lead

vet nurse.

They will be supported by a team of experienced and dedicated registered veterinary nurses and patient care assistants.

MyVet is a group of veterinary practices in Dublin and Kildare, with clinics in Firhouse, Lucan, Maynooth and now in Celbridge. For more information visit: https://www.myvet.ie
