Kildare County Council has no money to buy a bank building in north Kildare.
Cllr Nuala Killeen asked KCC to “revisit” the possibility of buying the Bank of Ireland property in Leixlip “which at this time appears to be for sale.”
Cllr Killeen said the premises would “make a fantastic community facility.”
However, according to KCC the “purchase of a community facility in Leixlip is not included in the capital programme and no funding is currently available for this project.”
