There are no patients on trolleys at Naas General Hospital today.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, not a single patient is awaiting treatment on a trolley having been admitted through the accident and emergency department, which is a little unusual.

But the facility isn’t the only one in the eastern region to report no overcrowding because there are no patients on trolleys at Tallaght Hospital either.

There are three patients on trolleys at Portlaoise Hospital and none at Tullamore Hospital - which is generally free of overcrowding.
