Patricians Newbridge win dramatic final against Maynooth SS

Patricians Newbridge School 1-14

Maynooth Secondary School 1-12

Patricians Newbridge took home silverware following an excellent win over Maynooth SS in what turned into a highly entertaining schools final. It was every man behind the ball for the Newbridge school as Maynooth looked to complete a comeback late on but the numbers game paid dividends as Patricians held on for victory.

Best for eventual winners was towering midfielder Jack Mahon who's seven points all appeared to come at key times for his side. Every time Patricians found themselves under the cosh for a period of this game, their bad spell would be broken by a Jack Mahon or Ben Loakman score to keep them in the lead.

Paddy Mahoney scored all bar five points of Maynooth's overall tally but it wouldn't be enough to get them over the line in this game.
