PHOTOS: An absolutely crazy speed detected in Naas

The Naas Roads Policing Unit were carrying out speed checks on the Millennium Link Road in Naas when they found this car speeding at 139kph in a 60kph Zone.placeholder image
The Naas Roads Policing Unit were carrying out speed checks on the Millennium Link Road in Naas when they found this car speeding at 139kph in a 60kph Zone.

That's over double the official speed limit for the area. 

The car was immediately stopped and the driver was arrested under the Road Traffic Act. 

Court proceedings will following in coming weeks and potential penalties if convicted include a large fine, a disqualification or a prison sentence.
