A planning application has gone before Kildare County Council for the renovation of an existing office/administration building in Newbridge to a local day service facility.

According to Construction Information Services (CIS), the application was submitted to the council on February 18 2025 by Curtmount Properties Limited for the premises on Athgarvan Road, Newbridge, Co Kildare.

They are seeking the renovation of the existing red brick building (375m2) and its change of use from office/administration to a local day service facility.

The plans include construction of a bin store area; new internal circulation roads and footpaths for cars and pedestrians; car parking; electric vehicle charging points; and cycle parking.

Also included are landscaping works; crossing points; and a new boundary wall and railing along the roadside.

Access to the development will utilise the newly constructed internal access road within the site.

The proposed development also includes signage associated with the ground floor uses in the proposed local day service facility.

All associated works to complete the development including all necessary drainage works are included in the application.

The estimated cost of the development is €651k, with the architects being Clarke and Company Engineers & Architects.
