Plans for new fire station to serve Kildare areas

A new fire station is being planned in Dunlavin to serve areas on the Kildare / Wicklow border.
A Part 8 planning application was submitted by Wicklow County Council for the facility.
Being planned is the construction of a new two-storey fire station building in Dunlavin with on-site parking for 16 vehicles.
There will be a training yard to the rear of the new building.
A new four-storey training tower will also be on the site.
The estimated construction value of the project is €2m, according to Construction Information Services database.
