Tonight's Clane Heritage Week cemetery event postponed due to Storm Betty

Historical Stories of People Buried in Clane
Storm Betty has claimed it's first victim with the forced postponement of a Clane Heritage Week event which was due to take place tonight.
"Historical Stories of People Buried in Clane," will be rescheduled later this autumn. It was due to be held at 7.30pm this evening at the Friary ruins in Abbey Cemetery (beside Westgrove Hotel).
However, with a yellow weather rain and wind warning for Kildare from 3pm this afternoon to 6am tomorrow, the organisers took the decision to postpone the outdoor event.
People were invited to join local storytellers as they animate historical events involving people laid to rest around the Friary ruins in the Abbey Cemetery beside the Westgrove Hotel. The outdoor event was then due to relocate to the graveyard at the Abbey Community Centre to finish the tales by sunset.
Clane Community Council and Clane Music and Dramatic Society can be contacted for further information.
