The Ladies Gaelic Football Association has announced the 2022 LGFA Volunteer of the Year award winners and there were two Kildare winners in the Local Journalist of the Year and Young Volunteer of the Year categories.

KFM's Tara Byrne won the LGFA's Local Journalist of the Year award for her extensive coverage of ladies football in 2022.

Erika Long from Milltown has won the LGFA's Young Volunteer of the Year.

Congratulations to both the Kildare winners from the awards and we hope for more of the same in 2023.
