Two vehicles seized on Kildare roads for no insurance

One driver was an unaccompanied learner driver
Naas Roads Policing Unit recently came across a vehicle in Kildare that clearly had its priorities...lowered.
While attempting to mount a speed ramp, the vehicle instead demonstrated the practical limitations of style over substance.
Progress was slow, painful, and very public.
A quick chat with the driver revealed that the suspension wasn’t the only thing that had been dropped.
The vehicle was also not insured.
The vehicle had:
-
No insurance
-
No journey continuing
-
The vehicle was seized on the spot.
A garda spokesperson stated: “A reminder to all motorists: if your car can’t handle a speed ramp, it’s probably not roadworthy. And if your paperwork can’t handle a checkpoint, neither are you.
Drive safe. Stay legal.”

Meanwhile, recently one ambitious driver decided the local carpark was the perfect stage to practice their “Fast & Furious” audition — right in front of a fully uniformed Garda.
Unfortunately for them, reality kicked in quicker than the handbrake:
The driver had:
-
A learner permit holder
-
No accompanying driver
-
No valid insurance
-
Plenty of confidence (misplaced)
#NaasRPU brought the performance to an early finale. The vehicle was seized under Section 41 RTA, with a summons on the way for dangerous driving and no insurance.
