Win Tickets to Naas Racecourse on Sunday
The meeting will mark the launch of a new partnership between Naas Racecourse, Into Kildare and Kildare County Council
Naas Racecourse is gearing up for an exciting afternoon of National Hunt racing on Sunday, November 8, as the popular Return of the Jumps meeting brings the thrill of racing over hurdles and fences back to County Kildare.
The eight-race programme promises a competitive afternoon, with some of Ireland’s leading trainers and emerging talent hoping to make their mark as the jumps season gathers momentum.
The feature race is the €55,000 Grade 3 Barberstown Castle Steeplechase, a two-mile contest that has attracted a strong field of potential contenders.
Among the leading entries are Willie Mullins’ Kopek Des Bordes, Irish Panther, who won his chasing debut at the meeting last year, and Gordon Elliott’s recent Cheltenham winner Bowensonfire. Westport Cove is another possible runner for Mullins.
Another major highlight is the €45,000 Tote Guarantee, Never Beaten by SP Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle, a Listed contest over two miles and four furlongs. The race has attracted 24 entries, including Beckett Rock for Henry de Bromhead and recent winner Nelson Muntz for David Harry Kelly.
The meeting will also mark the launch of a new partnership between Naas Racecourse, Into Kildare and Kildare County Council, with the Into Kildare Beginners Steeplechase celebrating the county’s reputation as Ireland’s Horse Country. The initiative aims to encourage racegoers to explore Kildare’s accommodation, restaurants and attractions, turning a day at the races into a longer visit.
The first race is scheduled for 12 noon, with the final race due off at 3.48pm. General admission tickets are available for €15 when booked in advance, saving €5 on the raceday price of €20. Hospitality packages are already sold out.
Racegoers can look forward to a fantastic afternoon of sporting action and atmosphere as Naas welcomes back the jumps for another exciting season.
