Woman fined €1,000 for calling Kildare shop worker ‘a fat b**tard’

A 20-year-old woman was fined €1,000 for verbally abusing a shop worker.

Nicole Ward, with an address listed as 9 Rosconnell Avenue in Newbridge, committed the offence at the Centra Store on Roseberry Hill in Newbridge on a date between June 1 and June 27, 2020.

It was heard in Naas District Court on Thursday, November 24, that she became aggressive with a shop worker, and at one point, called the worker 'a fat b**tard.'

Gardaí told Judge Desmond Zaidan that Ms Ward was previously barred from the store due to 'past incidences of antisocial behaviour.'

Judge Zaidan imposed a €1,000 fine on Ms Ward for the offence, and gave her three months to pay it.
