Work on cycle lanes and footpaths 'must stop' in this Kildare town

This should be done because of 'multiple accidents'
A call has been made for work to cease on projects to build cycle lanes and footpaths.
Cllr Fintan Brett says this should happen in the Naas area.
He wants Kildare County Council to "suspend the installation of cycleways and active travel works in the Naas Municipal District.
The said this should be done pending a design review (and) "following multiple accidents in areas where works are completed."
People have broken teeth, shoulders and wrists as a result of falls on a road which was upgraded in Naas to provide enhanced footpaths and cycle lanes, it was claimed at a previous NMD meeting.
Cllr Carmel Kelly claimed, at a Naas Municipal District committee meeting, that there had been up to 40 incidents at Kilcullen Road in Naas.
