JUDGE'S DECISION

A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of a Newbridge man.

Jake Hughes, with an address listed as 15 Standhouse Rise in Newbridge, was due to hand over €2,000 to Naas District Court on Thursday, March 7 last.

The 21-year-old previously admitted to being in possession of €2,800 worth of cocaine in his home, which was searched on foot of a garda warrant on February 19, 2022.

Due to his absence on the latest court date, Judge Desmond Zaidan said that he would issue a warrant for his arrest.

Judge Zaidan told Mr Hughes' solicitor, Tim Kennelly: "I will vacate my order... He got a chance with another judge, but he didn't take it."
