Cattle allowed to graze on Council land near housing estates - Cllr

Kildare Co Council has been asked to explain a claim by a councillor that cattle were allowed to graze land in Maynooth.

Cllr John McGinley said the livestock were seen on Council-owned land between Castlepark Housing Estate and Carton Avenue for the last two months.

The politician also claimed that cattle trucks were driving on the walkway on Carton Avenue.

The issue will be raised at the local Municipal District Meeting of councillors and Council officials taking place in Aras Chill Dara in Naas next week.
