Contractor in Newbridge bursts through water mains to leave homes and business without supply

Kildare County Council have reported that a burst water mains in Newbridge could cause disruptions until as late as tomorrow morning following a problem in the area.

The incident happened when a contractor burst through a mains in the ground in the an area that will effect homes and businesses in the Piercetown, Pairc Mhuire, Highfield and surrounding areas.

Repairs are currently being carried out on the problem and should be completed this evening by the crews that are on site, but Kildare County Council have warned that householders may experience low pressure issues into tomorrow morning.
